I have a 77 F250 with a fairley new motor (351M) It has about 1200 miles.
My question is cooling Mantanice.I have never changed the coolent or thormastat.
Is there a mile thing here when you change coolent?Everthing is working great and I want to keep it that way
Thanks Don

I think the milage suggested on regular antifreez (the green stuff) is something like every 60,000 (not real sure). and the dextron long life I know is 100,000, but yours has the green stuff so I would say yeah its time to get your cooling system flushed (assuming you meant 120,000). as far as a Tstat I dont know if there is a milage type deal on those, but I think I would change it as well with the age of it, they dont cost that much. I usually follow the recommendations for the coolant type before I change it. As far as the T-stat is concerned (takes a deep breath) I usually wait until there is a problem. Replacing it just to replace it, is not always helpful and there is no promise the new stat is any good.
