i went down to keystone ford today and i sat inside of a 2003 lightning. looked under the hood and everything. i instantly fell in love with it. that is one sweet truck! now to get 45 000 bucks for it!!
the sticker price was 43 000 withs ome odd dollar, with tax closer to 50 000 but f150 supercab is same priced if not more. id rather take the lighting. its less practical tho, but thr 5.4l 360 325ish hp can rost those 225 80 r18s like nothin
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 21-Dec-02 AT 07:24 PM (EST)]This is gonna sound dumb. I see ppl talking about a Lighting. Is it a truck? I guess I havn't seen one here in Marshall East Texas
I did a search and looked at one. I wonder if it comes with a styleside bed? I don't care for the stepside that was shown. Love those hp numbers and other goodies
I know wheres theres an Extended Cab stepside truck that is 90% Lightning and $28,000 Canadian..... it was built out of 2 smashed up trucks its a 1999 Extended Cab with a 2000 Lightning parts, incl... suspension, motor, tranny, rear end, interior, ground effects, rims & tires
trucks still available i think and way less then $45,000+ but then again its not 100% lightning either
Hey Joseph! I'll buy you a new Lightning with all the extras. Heck, I'll even set it up with Nitro and a years supply of tires if you'll buy me a Cessna 206 Stationair.
I don't need the six seats it has but with all the stuff my wife travels with, I need the cargo capacity.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-Dec-02 AT 11:30 PM (EST)]That dealership must not be hurting for sales then. If I was gonna buy a truck, I wanna test drive it before I put money on it. Bet you aint goin' back there are you?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 22-Dec-02 AT 11:56 PM (EST)]Joseph: The link I provided was a price list for the 206. At that link you could click on the home for Cessna and select the single engine piston aircraft catogory and then selected the 206.
The upshot is this: You want a Lightning (A very fast truck with a blower) that runs @46000. I want a plane, that new - depending on package- runs @$350,000+
Guess who has a better chance of getting the key to their dreams (a Caravan would really be cool but the $$$$$$$$$)??
I have a better chance at a C6 Corvette than I do a new plane
Ever thing about renting a lightning ?? i know in Toronto u can.... u can also rent Corvette's, Type R Mustang, Dodge Vipers, Hummers and for what your driving its not bad what u pay... a buddy rented a 2001 Viper for $450 for an 8 hr periode mainly cuz he was thinking of buying one after he drove it he didnt want one said it sounded like a suped up Neon then again it is a Cryco
