There are some pretty nice set-ups for the 56. Just wondering if anyone had purchased the dakota digital? Or who has experience rebuilding the stock speedo unit and panel. I like the stock look but I need to take her out and go through it. Any suggestions out there on the "How To's".

Ed, I recently took mine out and rebuilt it. The speedo was working fine so I left it alone. I took everything else apart. Mostly just screw on. There is a plate glass with a rubber seal you need to watch for, otherwise its a simple screw in process. I had the other gauges checked by an electrician friend. I also replaced all the bulbs with brighter ones than stock. I prefer the look of the original versus the dakota. Kinda keeps that old look to the interior. The brighter bulbs made a little difference. I painted the dash frame the same as the dash and interior and it made it look like a one piece fit. Good luck.
