tranny bolts?
hi
im' having trouble with my swap all ready! i'm still working on that 460-351 swap. how many bolts are there on the transmission? one side comes free easily and the other will not come free. i felt for bolts on both sides and i don't feel a thing. another problume was is that i cant take off my tourque converter because my engine froze solid! could the guild pin be stuck on one side and cause this?

Off the top of my head I seem to remember there being 6 bolts on the bell housing that have to come off, could be wrong "rememberer" isnt what it used to be.
Another thought you did unbolt the torque converter didnt you??

I just put a new 351M in my truck. On my c-6 auto tranny there were two bolts up top, two on the driver's side, two on the bottom and 1 on the passenger plus the starter holds it on. also the torque converter can stay on the flywheel if you have to do it that way

yeh i got the two little ones two top ones and three on the starter side and two on the other. and it is the starter side that is jamming.
this is odd i usually don't have troubles like these, i usally figure it out but befoe i get rought i should talk to some real experts. thanks for the suggestions.
