I am a machinist and can make or alter them if need to.Any help i wpild appreciate.

Gregg, look for the 460 from a van or ambulance. I've got pics posted on my site of the set i found and used on my F250/Bronco hybrid. The Saginaw ps pump sits nicely above the ps gear and the turns the 17/40 GroundHawgs with ease. The big-case 70 amp altenator is also mounted up high above the frame rail. These came from a 75 ambulance but the regular van should be the same. If you would like more pics let me know. I'll look,I think I wrote down the casting numbers also.
You can also probably use a saginaw PS pump from a lincoln. It will have the a/c bracket built in but you can cut it off. Just block off the upper return port ( it has 2 for the hydroboost system). It will put the pump up much higher that the Ford truck pump assembly.
Yeah, I had the same problem. I used the lincoln brackets for the PS pump. Although, instead of cutting off the AC portion of the bracket, I just rotated the entire bracket up so the AC portion clears the PS gear. I just used the highest bolt in the head and then rotated the bracket around that bolt. Then I welded another tab on the bracket to pickup a bolt on the water pump. I have a total of (4) bolts holding the bracket to the engine.
I then plan on running the AC off of the PS pump.
Hopefully it'll work..........?
But, getting the brackets off of an ambulance is the best solution.
Ok guys, here's the numbers that I got off my brackets, I don't know if they are still available at the dealer or not. AC bracket= D5UA-2882-AA, water pump pulley= D5UE-8509-DA, crank pulley= D5UE-6312-BA, hi-mount 70A altenator bracket= D5UE-10039-AA, altenator pivot bracket D5UE-10145-AA. Sorry but looked all over the ps braket and didn't find a single marking. I'm thinking that the dealer can probably use the numbers above along with his book's applications for a 75 Econoline and track down the number on the ps bracket. I'll try to take some better pics this weekend and post them on my site....Trey
Trey,
Thanks for the numbers.Went to the local ford place no luck. They gave me a phone number for a place they buy all there obsolete parts from.Called them and guess what!!!!!!!!!!!!You got it no luck.If anyone has the number for a yard that might have these no matter where i would like to have it.460 powered vans werent to popular around here in tennessee i guess.
Thanks for the help everybody!!

I had the same problem. What I did to correct it was find the passenger car saginaw pump setup(as mentioned earlier), use a 2 groove alt. pulley, and the passenger car pulleys. Problem solved (though it ain't purdy no-mo.)

Hey Greg,
I have just ran into the same problem with my 77 highboy conversion.
I have been running the high mount saginaw power steering set up with the low slung big Lincoln alternator in my 2wd 76 F250. It kind of preturbed me to when I was letting my 460 and C6 down into my highboy chassis yesterday, when the alternator mount started to hit about 2 inches before the passenger side mount hit the perch. AAARRRRGGGGG . I live in Tennessee to. Good luck to you on finding mounts. Maybe it will be worth it this winter when go powering through the snow drifts.:7
Do you have a truck oil pan or the one out of the lincoln? I am needing one from a 2WD truck for my 77. The car pan puts the drainplug right next to the frame cradle and it taked magic fingers to change my oil. Plus it doesn't hold as much oil. Will the pan you have fit in the 4X4? If not and it is a truck pan, let me know.
Jimmy
I used the pan from a 90 4x4 truck it has the rear sump. You will nees a pan from a 2wd truck.I do not have one but you could weld another drain plug in your pan on the side.Hope that helps.
Still aint found my brackets yet!!!!Anybody got a set laying around???
