Pyro Gauges Test
This is for those information junkies among us. Found this link while doing a web search on gauge(s) information. Even though it's from a Dodge diesel engine website, and may not meet the scientific requirements of some, it's interesting reading. Those Dodge guys can't be all bad (lol). Anyway, it compares the 3 major gauge manufactures (AutoMeter, Isspro and DiPricol) pyros and gauges. Basically it comes to the conclusion, that all the pyros / gauges are about the same and it's just a matter of personal appearance preference and installation hardware requirements, i.e. electrical/mechcanical, amplifiers/no amplifiers, power requirements. Exception is a slower response time from the DiPricol pyro/gauge. Don't mean to start a gauge war here, but I would be interested in the reliablity/durability of the major brands. Anyone have to replace their gauge or sending unit because it failed on them? Just curious.
