96 2wd ABS problem

96 2wd ABS problem
my 96 threw on the abs light last week. so today i go and see if on of the plates thats on the back of the rotor is bent or if any thing is stuck in there.
the pass side was bent and the sensor scuffed. strightend it up put it back to gether after looking at driver side. noting wrong with drivers side plate or sensor just dirty. looked at the back abs connection to the axle clean. checked the fuses none blown. go to fire it up and guess what the abs deamon is still there. i disconnected the negative battery cable and let it sit for 20 min or so and ITS STILL ON.
any sujestions or help would be great.
