Fuel Flow Problems
Had problems getting my truck to run. Thought is was the fuel filter so I replaced that. Still nothing, so I replaced the fuel pump still got didn't do anything. I blew out all the fuel lines and their still isn't any gas going to the carb. I tried to the blow air through the metal line coming out of the tank but the air wouldn't blow through. Thinking that line maybe plugged, is their any way to open up the tank there? The truck is a 1985 F-150 4x4 with a 300ci and been sitting in the barn for 3 years now.

You should be able to drop the tank and turn the round part on top to open the tank up where the supply lines are. The sock screen filter inside is likely all varnished up from the gas drying out over those 3 years.
PS - I am NOT sure of this. I know the EFI tanks are like this and most older cars but haven't dropped a carburated F150 tank in years so don't recall for sure. Hopefully someone else will come and verify.
