Looking for Chrome Header....

I have my Pop's 1979, f-150, with the straight 6 300cid, out of a 1985. I'd like to find a chrome header for it, and then go with side pipes. Anyone know a website I can look at? Perused several and watching ebay. NOT having a lot of luck. Figured I'd try here.

Peace!

Thanks in advance!

-Lou

Get the ceramic coated pipes. They are MUCH better than chrome. Ceramic is what they use on all the new hotrods etc.

I agree, the chrome will just turn blue before burning off. GO CERAMIC!

When you change to a header....what do you do with the EGR Tube that attaches to the stock exhaust manifold?

I've seen the ceramic. I just enjoy the look of chrome better, myself. But, not having much luck finding anything. And the couple of things I have seen, have been WAY expensive. lol. I wouldn't mind a USED piece at all, really. I did check out the clifford website, and they didn't have it either. Been watching ebay, but, no luck there either so far. This is a very ameteur project. lol. I am NOT very mechanical myself, but a friend who is, is tutoring me. The major project is going to be the body work. The floorpans have rotted out, I think because of a leak in the cowling. After perusing several websites, it looks like I can't replace the cowling without removing the entire CAB assembly. oi. It's going to be bits and pieces over a long time. But at least it's getting done.

Peace!

Better yet, Jethot will sell you a set of brand name headers for a variety of Ford trucks with their coating already applied. Check out the following link:

Jethot coated headers for Ford trucks

They do headers for other vehicles, too, of course, but we're only interested in the Ford trucks here, right?
