drive shaft noise

drive shaft noise
while driving my truck i notice a tick tick tick tick sound coming from the drive shaft or something there.as i speed up the noise gets quicker but not louder.it sounds like something under stress or something.can anybody give me an idea of what i can do.Or has anybody experienced this problem before.one of my friends told me to grease my suspendion and drive shaft.

I also agree it is the U-joints on the driveshaft. I had the same noise on my truck and so I took off the U-joints and looked in them and found that the bearings in them were damaged or gone from regular long-term use. Shop costs is about 90-95 dollars.
