these cars are an amazing bang for the buck and might trade the supercrew straight accross for a mazda3 or keep it and buy the mazda for 80% of my driving.
yeah, good idea.... keep the pickup, and buy the mazda3 for commute vehicle like what I'm doing. I use my Supercrew on weekends, and use my older Accord 5sp for commuting. Am pleased with the combination. Besides that, it keeps the miles low on the truck.
Keep the truck. If you trade it for a small car like that, you will be kicking yourself in the pants. I have always been of the opinion that a man should have a truck, no matter if it hardly gets used, at least if he needs one for something he wont have to borrow a friends chebby.
Gas isn't so more expensive that it's going to scare me into buying another vehicle, registering it, inspecting it, insuring it, and any other "it." I notice how they are all dropping the psychological gas price to $2.99_9 right now to get us used to paying almost $3/gallon.
They are all just sitting there letting us get used to it before slightly dropping it some more. It won't be long until many Chapter 13 bankruptcy's get filed since Chapter 7's will be hard to do if you own real estate since Congress passed the reform bill not too long ago. You just wait and see while they gouge many who consume more than they earn types of people into bankruptcy.
In the meantime, just go from drinking Coors Light to Keystone Light for awhile. I even forgot what it feels like to drive a car anyway. I haven't driven a car in at least 3 years now that I think of it.
I'm just glad I paid off my 2000 F-150 SuperCab 4x2 truck a few months ago while having almost no debt. Of course I have to work two jobs to do that and also cutting back on many nice to have's but not necessary things. You got to do what you got to do, right? That's the way I see it anyway.
