Everytime I turn around Toyota has a new commercial out taking cheap shots at Ford lol , its getting so old! Im really starting to hate Toyota more then Chevy.
Why do you guys think Toyota is so desperate to take every cheap shot they can at the F-150? The Tundra sells less then Dodge! ( Last time I checked )

Toyota makes a quaity truck actually. I'd take a tacoma over a ranger anyday. The Tundra is nice too but in the full size market I'll stick with Ford. Toyota as a whole is the fastest growing company in the states, it's there job to work on the big dogs.
I'm not a fan of imports. Toyota is just trying to take the leader out by cheap shots because they can't do it in the quality field. A toyota won't take as much as a Ford will, it's been told in one of the forums htat a toyota fell apart at the sand dunes while trying to keep up with fords. I think the imports should stick to cars cause their trucks don't have the strength that they should. I'd take my 1957 Ford F-250 over a toyota any day.
To each his own on quality, from what I've seen Toyota is far past Ford in the quality department. My dad's old F-150 was heading to the shop every month or two for something to be repaired. It probably went more than the 5 Toyotas he has owned combined, including a Tundra. If you look at vehicles taking punishment in the desert, mountains, and snow drifts around the world the blue oval isn't that visible. Lots of Toyota Land Cruiser SUV's and pickups and Nissan Patrols.
Realistically, it makes a lot more sense to pick on the best seller than a less popular model. The big 3 better stay on their toes or the import trucks will do the same thing they did in the midsize sedan area.
Toyota has run some great ad campaigns here - none of which were pointed at Ford, but here Toyota is the highest selling commercial manufacturer.
One of my favorites was a slogan used in a print ad for the Toyota Hilux (which the Tacoma is built off) regarding the new turbo diesel they made available.
Big 350-Maybe you know the answer to this. In Iraq we had little SUV's galled "Gallopers" I think they were made by Toyota. They were indestructible little beasts. They had some zip, too. We would take those out on patrol over a Humvee anytime we could. Do you know who makes them? Overseas EVERYONE has a Toyota pickup or car. It is a testament to Ford and even GM and DCX that our country is not overrun with them like most countries in the Middle east are. Because I know they can make vehicles much, much cheaper than the relativily "top of the line" Toyotas that we see over here in the U.S. I'm talking brand-new 4wd pickups for 10k USD or even less.
The Toyota T-100 I had before I bought my new F150 was the best truck I have ever had by far. I intended to replace it with a new Tundra and looked at the Ford to humor my brother. The Tundra looked and felt just like my old T-100 with a V8 and the F150 was far superior in all aspects that were important to me. Besides, with the rebates at the time and the dealer discounts (invoice less $5,000 in rebates), the Ford was cheaper and the dealer was much nicer than the jerks at the Toyota dealer (who just assumed I was going to buy another Toyota just because I had one).
I'm not too worried about Toyotas, ya sure there good quality vehicles but there V8s are weak, I smoked a V8 four runner with dual exhaust (sounded like a wet fart BTW) and I'm pretty sure my truck outweighs that Toyota by few hundred pounds, maybe even a thousand. He was at the lights with me and kept creeping up to get even with me and when the light turned green, he mashed the pedal and so did I, we were even steven for 2 secs and then I pulled away easy after that. They need to put some ***** in those V8's before they can compete with th e big 3 I think.
I remember reading that Toyota copyied some stuff off of Ford V8 for their first Tundra. Regarding all the quality stuff, Ford has been making the most improvements in quality and has even passed or matched what Toyota can do! GM on the other had has fallen like 5 places lol!
Yeah, Toyota does put the 4.7 V8 in thei 4Runner. I would put it up against the smaller V8's from the big 3 any day. They are supposed to be working on a V8 in the 5.5L range to address the complaint that there is nothing to go up against the big V8's. I believe the 4.7 is loosely based on the Lexus 4L, it was used in the Land Cruiser and LX470 a few years before the Tundra came out.
I really hate to point this out, but SuperDuty Fords are built in Mexico, except bolting on the box. Toyota's are built here in the USA. Dont get me wrong, I'm all Ford, but I prefer the older Fords.
