Timing?
Thanks for the help guys. Now for another qeustion, where do you guys say a stock 460 is to be timed? I'd say at 12'degrees but what are your suggestions? I have a cam(duration @ 50' INT.214 EXH.224/ LIFT INT.518 EXH.544) in it and Flat top pistons and some other goodies where would ya start inital timing?

>at idle. set the timing so that at 3500 rpm it is running
>at 36deg. The only real problem with doing this is that the
>timing marks don't go this high. You will have to get a
>timing light that will advance electronicly.
I currently have the base set at 15' and adv. set 34 at 3000rpms (the cam calls for 36 just being cautious) the base does matter because how it starts hot. I also have the vac adv. plugged into the passenger side of the 750 edel. carb so the adv. comes in later but I did have it plugged into full vac side of carb which it seemed alot more responsive and snappier off the line does that make any sense? but everybody says not to and to plug it into passenger side so i did. Whats wrong with driver side full vac adv side? will it hurt any thing? Not worried about gas mileage just performance
