It says right in the description that the 'hood ornament' isn't for sale, Amtek!! Sorry to burst your bubble!

Anybody else notice the lack of a pinch bolt in the steering intermediate shaft at the steering box? (The picture with the up-close header/steering shaft.)

And how about those lift blocks. I think we need a sticky at the top of the forum list with a few FAQ about lift blocks and how NOT to do them. The sticky should include a picture of this truck.

i bet it takes every bit of power that 460 puts out to push those 5 ton rockies! i would have to bet that it doesn't have the power you'd expect!

i wouldn't mind taking the truck and doing something useful with it though! it has potential

Call me ignorant, but when I was in the Army actually DRIVING th 5-ton trucks (that have THOSE axles) the gear ratio was like 5.6X something IIRC. I concur, fishy......something's fishy.

I'd still like to have a set of those axles......put 'em in my Oldsmobile or something.

<TABLE class=tborder cellSpacing=1 cellPadding=4 width="100%" align=center border=0><TBODY><TR title="Post 2954909" vAlign=top><TD class=alt1 align=middle width=125>god.boots</TD><TD class=alt2>wow, what are thoes 30" lift blocks in the front and rear?</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
that poses the question, what would be worse 30" liftblocks or a 30" body lift?

lol why the heck would that make you ignorant?

i THINK i remember that the 2.5 rockies had like 6.52 gearing but i dunno. still even with all the gearing thats a LOT of weight for a 460 to push around

30" of lift ANY way you look at is gay and unsafe!

2.5's have 6.79's cogs
no clue about 5 tons... but they would be more enticing than the 2.5's if they had in hte 5's range...
