Fmx or c4????????
First off I would like to say that I love this club. I just recently found it and love it. I also have a question. I have a 78F150 2 wd and I was wondering if you guys could tell me what tranny is in this truck. My brother in law says fmx and I say c4. I have to get a new parking pin for it and not sure which one I need.

Codes off the door don't mean anything if the transmission has been changed.
Tell us what the pan looks like.
1)Square
2)Square with a notched corner.
Is the tranny all one complete casing or does the bellhousing unbolt from the case?
If you have a 302 the trans is a C$
If you have a 351M/400 you probably have a C6.

Sorry I have a 302 and my vin# is F15GNBK6801. If you can tell me is there something special or odd about this truck because my cab has F150 ranger on it and my bed and hood has exployer on it I thought they were two different trim packages? This truck does come with the tilt steering, pb,ps ac the works from back then.

) has a cast iron main body, the belhouding is removable. The C4 ususaly is all one piece, with no cast iron external parts.
