Wicked wheel prob
It details removing the turbo from the truck, but you don't have to. It has some very useful pictures and tips for all that have never done this before.

I did not want to take the chance bending or cracking any vanes or damaging thre shaft while doing it "on the truck". Taking the turbo off the truck has it's diffciulties as well with up pipe and down pipe alignment, potential of "O" ring leaks, etc. Although, you do learn a lot in the disassembly and re-assembly process.
If I just wanted to eliminate the surge and didn't mine spending the money, I'd go with the ATS compressor housing only and forget the Wicked Wheel. I have both.
I fixed the leak by loosening the 2 lower flanges of the Y pipe with everything loose it fell together the throttle response and the way it holds boost no flutter at all is amazing I highly recommend this mod to anyone
Though I did race a Chevy SS and I am unhappy with the results what next?
Step 2. Intake, i.e.; Tymar, Kwik 6637, others....
Step 3. 4" or bigger Turbo-back exhaust system
Step 4. Sonnax valve/Tricum spring tranny kit
Step 5. Chip or programmer of your choosing...(DP Tuner Jody Tipton for a chip, I use a Diablo Predator as my Programmer... 100hp setting should suffice....)
Step 6. At this point, you should be able to dust almost any road going vehicle in stock trim, emphasis on MOST, as well as you're own tranny.
AFE stage 1
