Tire air pressure???
I am in sales and drive my 05 F-250 as my travel vehicle. I was told to run 50-55 psi for a better ride. Could this effect my mileage? Or should I go back to recommended 75-80 psi? Thanks guys!

It sure could. I noticed when I got my truck, and after the first free service the dealership inflated the rear to 75 and the front to 65. This last time I rotated my tires I was in a hurry and forgot to lower the fronts/raise the backs... rode a lot different then I was used to for that night. The chalk test is suggested to find the best psi for mpg. Put a line on the tire, run a short distance and look at the chalk line on the tire. You can see where it rubs off if you need to add or remove air.

I wouldn't run your tires at 75-80. I believe that pressure is used when the truck is loaded to its' max weight rating. The chalk test is a good indicator but does not take into account centrifugal elongation when the tires are spinning at highway speeds. Just my $.02. I am far from being a tire expert.
