Smile King Pin Update

I would like to thank everyone who responded to my "King Pin Removal Questions" thread. I finally did the king pins. I did every bit of it myself and I personally thought it was pretty easy (How many 18 year old kinds do you know that have did king pins on a '48' F-1). Everything came apart easily, reaming the bushings were easy, and the assembly was even easier. I think I lost 5-10 pounds of gunk off of the spindles! I have yet to drive but I will this evening. Again thanks for the help.

Thanks,

Well I drove it and it seems to be more responsive than it used to be. I still need to adjust the toe a little but I will do that tomorrow. Other than a minor toe adjustment it drives great!

Thanks again,

Glad to hear you have it taken care of. And you are correct, I don't know of many young folks at all that have done king pins on a truck like yours.

Way to go, hotrod48! Most young folks are too busy welding coffee cans to their tail pipes and putting rear spoilers on front wheel drive cars.

Thanks everybody.

Fat Fendered Ford, no fart cans or park benches for spoilers or even front wheel drive cars here.

bobbytnm, it's about time that little rascal moved on to someone else. Just kidding you back.
