A/c

Have a 98 F-150
Heater controls are manual.
When I have control in heat mode, the A/C clutch is still engaging.
Is this normal.
Does not engage in off mode.

Thanks
Kevin

if you have the owneers manual check it out you will find that the ac works in defrost mode and other modes even in heat. they have found that the dry air from a ac unit is better and defrost alot slower. my onwers manual 2000 f150 say the ac will run in all modes except panel then I have to put it in ac mode for it to work.
