Fuel Pump relay could be a cause. Turn the key to ON..now listen carefully. You should hear a single 'click' coming from the distribution box (under hood).

Try resetting the Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch.

Is it a dual tank truck? If so, the select switch could be bad, corroded, or something.

I think single tank trucks had a jumper intead of the select switch. You might wanna check behind there to see if its alright.

I would imagine you could hot wire that pump to a toggle switch inside the cab, but i dunno how safe that is. You'll just have to time it right when to kick it on and off.

was thinking about hot wire to the start switch so when it cranks and runs so does the pump... not sure if the computer will like that though

If you wire it to the start lead it will only run when your crankin it over, not when its crankin over. Are you getting power to either side of the relay in the box? If not, trace em out and see what you come up with.

Sorry I read that wrong. If you wire it to both, ehhh i wouldnt do that. If you wire it so that its on when the key is turned to run, when starting I dont think that it would work. Reason I say this is because when its turned to start, everything that normally operates when turned to "run" shuts off (radio, wipers, heater blower motor, etc) so that the battery runs the starter and the starter itself. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

That doesnt sound right. Somethin is definately wrong. Is it a stock radio?, or is it an aftermarket one that someone wired directly? Sounds like you have an electrical problem. Does anyone think it could be the computer? Does the computer control all of this? I actually am not sure myself...
