Question Headers?

I was just wanting you guys opinions on if the ceramic coated headers are worth the couple hundred dollars extra.
I don't have a show truck, but will be rebuilding the enigne for power and painting alot of things while I have it apart, so is the extra money worth the looks.

Also, they don't turn any kind of nasty color when heated up and cooled down alot do they?

Ceramic coating is well worth the additional cost. The coating dramatically reduces engine bay temperatures associated with running headers with conventional chrome or powder-coat finishes. I don't personally run these headers ONLY because I cheaped out when I bought mine and have regretted the decision ever since. Several of the members here do run ceramic coated headers though and I'm certain you will get similar input from them.

I could get some ceramic coated headers for about $150 more, so I might go that route when I buy them.

ceramic is great from what i hear. you might call around to see what some local places will charge to coat headers you buy. that might be cheaper

Here's a link to a place I've checked out. I think I'll have mine coat this spring.

How much is the coating going to cost you, and what coating are you putting on it?
