block heater

block heater

Hello
I just have a quick question. I have a 2004 f250 5.4 gas motor. i installed a silicone heating pad on my oil pan. i ckecked with ford and they want $200 to install a block heater. i have a lower radatior hose heater. how much better is the block heater.

Block heater circulates and warms the anti-freeze.

Check the wattage of the hose heater VS the block heater. Wonder about warranty issues.

Check the wattage of the hose heater VS the block heater. Wonder about warranty issues. Maybe someone who knows for sure on this could comment on this.
