This morning 3.04 for gas, and haven't driven my Bronco in over a month.
I think I'm having withdrawls or delusions I swear I can here it calling to me.
" Drive me you cheap @!~~**&)$ " The closest I've been to offroading in 3 weeks was winching a chevy out of a barditch.
My wife wants me to park it in back of the house. She says all you do is pat it on the hood every time you walk past.
I told her, "All I do is pat you on the tailgate when I walk past". "How would you like it if I put you in the back yard?"
No sense of humor at all. Now I'm in the dog house, wish I could afford the gas to drive it away.
The woman is pure evil, If I put it in the back yard she'd probably plant flowers in it.
One of them 4BT Cummins engines is starting look like a good idea.
Hows that saying go? If the tough can't get going they stay home and work on it.
I'm in denial about the price of gas. Plus I only have two vehicles anfd they both get 10mpg.
Not to hyjack, thanks for the link you gave me for the tie down chains and turnbuckles for my car hauler. I just ordered 4 chains with clevis hooks at both ends and t hooks at one end and two ratcheting binders. All g70 for safety.
i dont let the price of gas get me down, my 79 is my daily driver, both of my vehicles have big blocks, but of course the second one is a demo car, it doesnt run anyway.
me and a couple buddys are planning on doin some muddin this weekend, even with $3.19 gas.
Glad to help
I actually typed this post while my little bride was wrestling with me saying don't you dare. After I sibmited it she hit me in the head with the remote
I'd trade for tank of gas, but she's a great cook so I guess I'd best keep her.

Mine too has been retired to the back yard. My wife kept yelling at me about the gas (because it was my daily driver at 6-8mpg) so I parked it for a little bit. Now she is yelling it is taking up space and I should sell it. (I smell one of her shopping trips coming up). I guess I will just have to tear into her(the truck) and start rebuilding it. That away I can say out of the house and not listen to the yelling.
So I guess I'm not alone HEHE!
There is good news though. With the money I've saved not buying gas, I can afford to up grade the brakes and add a spool to the front diff. Maybe even finsh up my tranny swap C6-NV4500.
Yeah i'm headin out to a bogg tomorrow morning , 2hr drive to get there too, but the gas comes from a the big tank of farm gas by the shop that we filled up before the big price hikes .
a lot of places here are out of gas or only have premium, and at 3.50 for premium it hurts to stop. Fortunately i still live at home and have few bills to pay so I am still able to pay it
wow. you guys are hard-kore. my F150 gets 15mpg, and I have a company truck (and the company pays the gas) and I'm still not driving anywere except to work... $3.20 up here, supposed to goto $4.00+ after labor day.
I just bought some body panels for my F250, it probably will only get 8mpg.. d'oh. hopefully propane won't be more than $3.00 a gallon
