I have tried and tried to program my garage door opener (5 year old Craftman 1/2 HP) into my 04 Lariat HomeLink. I put the key to ACC position, held the two outside buttons until blinking started, then held outside button (nearest driver side) and garage door hand held opener button simultaneously, until light goes solid. At that point I thought it (HomeLink) should open and close garage door. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? If so, would you please leave me a detailed instruction on how to do this. I sure will appreciate any help you can offer. Thank You Very Much!
Is that like the intelligenie? where you have to teach the garage opener the new remote? On my system I had to train the homelink, then train the opener using the instructions that came with it.
Chris
I believe that is probably the case... I had to learn it from the main garage unit for mine to work... believe it is covered in the manual for both ways. You just have to really make sure you follow their instructions step by step in the manual.
Yep, you guys are right. I had to go to the Craftsman and then to the Homelink within 30 seconds. That "Got-R-Dun"!
Thank You Very Much for your help fellows!
