south NJ diesel 2.45 to 2.70, gas us 2.89 and up. the prices jumped close to 18 cents today, they are saying gas could go up to 4.00 within a few weeks
96 cents a litre for Diesel, 1.20 for gas, 4 litres to a gallon (appx) gives you roughly 4$ a gallon minus the exchange for American dollar, (appx. .83 cents) gives you 3.32 a gallon.
better start looking at vegetable oil. went up the usual 10 cents again like it does every week. Only now it doents ever go back down. we'll be paying 5 dollars a gallon in no time. I will bet a gallon of diesel on it. Truckers will get flat out pissed someday and no trucks means no goods and name one thing that hasnt been on a semi that you use.

Bingo. I've started stockpiling the pieces/parts to build my biodiesel convertor and washer/drier. Right now, I'm trying to find a supplier for pure veggie oil in east TX. I'll also look in the OKC area - I can always pick it up when I go see Mom and Dad. I figure that I don't need food grade #1 oil; I could easily use the less refined stuff. Once I get rolling, I'll look into using waste oil from the Dairy Queen, but to start with, I'll stick to virgin veggie. I'll 'pay off' the cost of my system over the first 1,000 gallons (about 7 months of driving) - that'll add about 55 cents to the cost of each gallon. After that, it'll basically be the cost of a gallon of veggie oil. My chemical and electrical expenses will be pretty much offset by what I make selling the glycerine and soap to folks that use them for custom soaps, etc. It'll be a hassle to devote the time to cook three barrels of fuel every month (or six barrels every two months), but my gut tells me that it's gonna be worth it!
Dave Barbieri. Try places like Catfish King. I'm from Tyler and my best suplier is a Catfish place. Great oil and they use lots of it. The trick is getting in with people. Be prepared to cater to them(No pun intended).
Hell, before too long it just might be cheaper going to Brookshires and buying a shopping cart full of new oil for the tank. It's looking kinda bleak out there. Maybe this is what will give biodiesel the boost it needs to get into big production and make the big oil companies compete after this crisis is over. Hopefully strong Gasahol mixes will be available for those who drive gassers.
Southwestern Washington: Diesel is $3.00/gallon cheapest and $3.25 is the most expensive I've seen (so far). Regular unleaded is still only about $2.79/gallon. I'm supposed to haul a trailer with quads this weekend about 360 miles. It's deffinetly going to be a spendy trip for me. Oh well, what can you do?
gas jumped from 2.81 to 3.65 in the last 24 hours kinda riducliuous if ya ask me. Diesel is no exstent for on road and dot is checking evrydiesel truck thats still on the road for offroad stuff. wht do they expect us to do ive got a 1000 gallons of useable fuel but cant put it in my truck. guess ill have to buy a wheelborrow to haul my milk to town in. seriuosly i had to tow my diesel powered milk truck with a tractor i can run farm fuel in the tractor cant in the truck and cant buy diesel in town. talk about a pain for nothen.
my boss got a letter from the fuel company he gets fuel from saying their lifting the restrictions on off-road fuel in illinois at least
What kind of restrictions are being lifted? Can I throw a hay bale in the back of my truck and say im using it for farm use? I can't believe the Chicago ***** would let me do that.
