1990 F-150 185000 Mi, Going Down Driveway Truck Just Died. When You Turn The Key On, No Fuel Pump Sound. Is There Anything Else To Look For That Would Cause This. What Kind Of Job Is It To Change The Pump? Price? Time? Thanks.
I would check both of those. Anouther easy way to tell if it is the fuel pump is to take a hammer and hit the tank (not to hard though). That is assumeing the pump is in the tank. Sometimes it will get it to start. If that works then you will need a pump because your pump is giving out. you should be able to get one pretty cheap at a autozone or orileys.
There is a fuel shut off switch that may have activated. It is used to shutoff fuel during collisions. On my vehicle it is on the drivers side kick panel under the emer brake pedal. There is a little button you can press to reset the switch. Hope this helps.
