why doesnt my fuel pump shut off after a few seconds when i fist turn key on ,codes po191 p1237 is there a pressure regulator to adjust or is it in the tank with the fuel pump 2005 explorer 4.0
There is no pressure regulator. The fuel pressure is controlled by the PCM through the use of a Fuel Pump Driver Module and a variety of sensors. This is a fairly complicated system and most of the parts are not cheap. To diagnose this you'll need a scan tool capable of viewing parameters and also the PCED manual from Ford/Helm.
If your fuel pump starts and stays running when you turn the key on and not start the truck, you may have either a leak in the system or a bad injector(s).
You should have the truck checked by a professional.
i found that i had a bad wire connection on the module which is located in the far back right quarter panel near the rear bumper, there are 2 plugs connected to the module, unplug the plugs @spray contact cleaner on both ends @check wires for any bad spots, look especially near frame where your spare tire is located
