92 Ex fuel pump

92 Ex fuel pump

So last week my Ex wouldnt start all the sudden. It turns over but it doesnt sound like its getting any gas. I couldnt hear the fuel pump turn on and it was dry on the fuel rail when I turned the key on. Checked the Fuel Pump relay, all good. So we dropped the tank and replaced the fuel pump. Now you can hear it click on when turning the key, but still no fuel pressure. 1992 Explorer XLT 4.0 OHV 150,000.

Any idea?

what about a clogged up fuel filter?

I thought of that, and had it changed. My buddy is working on it and I keep trying to give him ideas.

Get a wiring diagram and go through the fuel pump circuit until you find out where the break is in the fuel pump circuit. Don't forget that it could be on the ground side of the circuit.
