I have a early 99 with the 4r100 trans. Under light load and light acceleration after it shifts into overdrive, the converter will lockup then unlock quickly and then lock back up. I have the 1705 superchips programmer in, but it does it stock also. I also have done the sonnex valve and tricummulator springs. If I am pulling a trailer or harder into the throttle, it does not seem to do it. Any ideas???

Some preliminary questions first. Did you have this problem before you installed the sonnax valve and tricumulator springs? Or did it show up after this mod? If you had the problem before.......then you may want to think about some of the following. And of course, if it was after......then the mod needs to be reviewed.
As you probably know......the TC lockup is a grounding of a wire from the PCM. It locks the TC acourding to RPM, load.......but mainly speed. After checking the wiring down to the transmission connector for possible damage. Making sure that the connector is seated......I might want to take a look at that vss sensor on the top of the differential. It may not be bad.......but I'd pull it out, and see if it has picked up some steel fillings, etc. This may be making the measured speed signal erratic. Just some things to check.
One thing I forgot to ask.........have you had the truck scanned for codes? You might have a solenoid missfiring inside the transmission. Just something else to check.
