2000 excursion gear options
Hi,
Im ever so close to buying a 2000 excursion limited or xlt , both are extreamly clean and have the v10 , auto and 4wd . I have been dealing with internet sales people that are roughly 150 miles from my house . so what im asking for is, does anybody have any idea of what gear ratios came in these ? And how does one decipher the axel code?

With the V10 you want the 4.30. I've had both, and the 4.30 is WAY more fun.
Axle code for F250/Ex 4.30 with limited slip is C3. Axle code is found on the "build tag" located on the driver's door jamb, bottom row, under "axle".
On a 4x4 it's also found on the top row of the paper ID tag attached to the rear of the front axle.
