Door handle
I have to pull the drivers interior door handle all the way and give it a little shoulder to open the door. I went in the door today, and it appears that everything is connected correctly, although the interior handle does not appear to pull the latch as far and the exterior, which works fine. Maybe the interior door handle stem is too worn??

cp, I think the lock is working, it is the adjustment of the door itself that is causing the door to stick. Try spraying the latch area with WD40 to start with, and see if there is any improvement.

I soaked it down, which did give it better movement but no improvement of opening. It is a bit spring on the drivers side door, and previous owner put spacers behind the striker latch. Is hinge adjustment the way to go??

cp, Not being able to see your truck, it is hard to advise. Hinge pins can get worn and cause drag, shims added, etc. If the door unlatches to open then the lock is working. Lift the door and see if there is play in the pin area.
It sounds like a mis alieghment issue, and you will have to play with it until you get it right. IMHO
