Hey Guys
I Was Thinking Of Installing A Theft Deterrant Kill Switch.
What Do You Guys Think About Splicing Into The Fuel Pump Cut-out Wiring. The Wiring In The Kick Panel On The Passenger Side.there Is A Cut-out Switch Located Under There That May Have To Be Reset In The Event That The Vehicle Takes A Hard Blow Or Is Jarred (in An Accident). Maybe Running The Swith Wire From There To A Hidden Place Of Your Choosing.
Thought This May Be Better Than Taping Into The Ignition Wiring.
This Way The Vehicle Would Just Crank Over But No Start.
Any Thoughts Or Comments?
It will still start and run with the inertia switch triggered...until the fuel lines run dry. We did that as a practical joke to a guy one time and he made it 20 miles before it shut off.
I wired up a relay on my ignition switch on my old jeep, I put a toggle switch under the dash and when it was armed if you tried to crank the starter it blew the horn(but wouldn't start) ......It used to scare the crap out of me when I forgot it......

LOL. I hope he was good natured. Having a hidden camera inside the truck for the last 5 miles would have been priceless.
i vote for the idm also. ive got two on-off-on, switches on the dash marked aux lighting and chime bypass. they have to be in the right combination for the truck to run. on my clutch bypass switch i went on-off-momentary. if its in the on posistion there and you push the clutch down it disables the idm and locks the relay out untill you put the idm kill switches to the lock combination then back to normal. i had way too much time on my hands one day.....but i can leave the truck runnin when i go into the 7-11 and if someone tries taking off with it there not gonna get far.
Ok Idm (injector Driver Module) Relay Does Sound Good.
Relay #303 In The Fuse/relay Panel. Pulled It Out And This Is The Result I Want. Cranking But No Start.
Now......to Tap Into The Leads Of It. Pretty Tight Behind It.
Would The Thing To Do Be To Undo The Fuse Panel To Get Better Access To Those Leads Or Is There Another Place To Tap In.
And What Color Wires If Someone Has Done It This Way.
Thanks

Do you know if the colors are the same for a 2000? I'm cooking up something along this line, but it involves a latching relay, a reed relay mounted behind the plastic instrument panel, a neodymium magnet inside my remote lock fob, and a wire to the "+lock" wire in my driver's door. When I get the round tuit.
