Ouch..

The main point is, the people aren't supposed to be parked there anyways.

Harsh, but true. If I went outside and vandalized every car that was illegally parked in my neighborhood I would be busy all night. If I fealt that strongly about it I would call the cops.

So if I park illegally it gives someone the right to vandalize my truck? Sure we've all wanted to do it, but his right to vandalize my truck stops when I catch him and then my right to tear him apart starts. You can't provoke a fight with every idiot in the world and then shoot them when they want to fight. People with this mentality probably shouldn't own cars, much less guns.

I'm on your side with this one. I'm saying they shouldn't have been there in the first place, if they weren't this wouldn't of ever started. But since they were, you still shouldn't vandalize peoples cars. That's just not the moral thing to do.

This one is really simple.

Nothing you have said justifys shooting the guy. As an example of possible justification for shooting, only if he'd thumped you, broke your nose, pulled a knife and attempted to stab you. You used the words "he" and "we". This implies that your crowd size was bigger than his. That's more negative points for you if you shot him, especially if your party consisted of guys. Age of the people involved also factors in. You would have to convince a jury beyond a reasonable doubt that your life was actually endangered. Keyword = convince.

So what. Talk is cheap. Note above for an example of a more serious and real threat.

The police report would be a blast to read. It would also be interesting to see what charges were filed or are pending. And I'm thinking both sides (vandalism or malicious mischeif and traffic). Consider yourself lucky it's not first degree assault, attempted murder, or second degree murder. This all sounds like a big hassle and a waste of time that could easily have been avoided. And over what, an illegally parked car? This happens around me all the time.
