crane power max 260/272 duration, lift at .050 .458 intake/.487 exhaust. not sure on LSA.

makes real good power from idle to whatever the shift limit is on the E4OD (3800?)
RPM range is 1500-4500 IIRC.

Hey OI,
I just got done putting the crane power max in my truck (H-260-2). Hadn't had a chance to change the oil yet so I'm not really driving yet. Anyway, is that horrible timing gear howl going to last forever or will it tone down some after a couple hundred miles?

Thanks

hey DT,
my truck is a 4x4 and my gearing is 3.08. its an automatic shift.

what does the first cat do exactly? would it be possible just to run straight pipes right of the exhaust manifold?

thanks,

Andrew16

oh ya you can, but how strict are ya'lls cops about that? Around here no one cares. but if you gotta pass emmissions then i'd dump the factory cat for a good high flow one.

so the first cat does nothing really? i got farm plates on my truck so i never have to get it emissions tested. it is illegal but its only illegal if you get caught. What would running straight pipes off the exhaust manifold sound like do u think? i dont want a "ricey"sound.

thanks,
Andrew16

Oh man i gotta 3" from the manifold to the tail pipe, no cat no muffler. It sounds like a built big block at idle, a Cummins 6bt cruising and a 2 stroke 6-71 detroit accelerating, don't worry about ricey.

Howdy,

Which year did the 300 come bolted to an E4OD?
