Automatic transmissions interchangable

I have a 1990 Ford Ranger and was wanting to know if there is another transmission that might fit it. It has a 2.9 motor, King Cab. Having a hard time finding a transmission for it so was wondering if something else would interchange with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you trying to buy a used one or a rebuild, I wouldn't buy an used one since they can have problems, a rebuild should be easy to find from online sites.
