Im looking at getting a HID conversion kit for my 03 expy that i have seen on ebay. im looking to pay $200 for the kit but my major fear is that the bulbs will be too long. In Expeditions now adays they have the reflector lenses, and and because of this the bulb can only be so long before it hits the reflection cap. My roomate has a mercedes c class with a diffuser headlight and the lights worked easily due to no length restriction.
So my main question is will the roughly 2 inch HID light bulb fit, even though the original bulbs are 1 1/2" long?
Also if any one has done this can you post pictures?

I just installed 6000K HID's in my 2004 EB and the bulbs were not too long. Also there is no need to pay $200 for HID's anymore I bought mine through a user named mypartsdepot on eBay for 72.99 shipped....All the way from Hong Kong. You can choose your color (4300K - 12000K) and whatever bulb type you want. Your low beams are 9006 and order 9005 if you want your Fogs to match (will have to trim one tab to make it work).
The only problem I have now is I am blinding everyone on the road because I don't have projector beams. I was wondering if the Navigator headlamps will fit on my Expedition??? I may have to spring for a set of aftermarket projectors even though they are the ugliest things in the world to me.
