Where can I locate the serial number to my power brake booster? I have a '79 F-150 2WD with a 302 (no cruise control), and I need to find if the serial number is before or after DJ 0001. Can anyone help me out.

The *FT number* should be right near the hole of the pushrod that attaches at the pedal.
Unless you're double jointed with a mirror & a flashlight you probably have to remove it first.
I tried looking around with a mirror. No signs of numbers. I did however, find a set of numbers on the front side above the master cylinder. The sets of numbers there don't even relate to DJ 0001. FYI, according to my door tag, my truck is a half year. Meaning, it's a '79 model but it was manufactured in June of '78. By that information does anyone think I have a booster before serial # DJ 001.

Well, good news and bad.
Pulled out the power booster, no serial #. Must already be an after market booster. I went ahead and bought the booster before series #DJ 0001. Turns out it's wrong. The pushrod end was too short. Returned it, and the correct one(hopefully) has been ordered. I also bought a brand new master cylinder.
