Hopefully someone here can help me, maybe Ken? I bought the 2-tuner Diablo Sport chip about a year ago. I noticed some mild differences but nothing to write home about. I noticed that my engine 'theft' light would go on occasionally and the engine would 'cut out'. Then about 2 months ago my engine would completely cut out at random times. I could be stopped at a stop light or going 75 MPH down the highway and the engine would shut off. I removed the chip and took it in to the dealership. They said that my computer had reset itself to the default settings and that they had to reprogram it for the specs of my truck.

I have driven it since then and it has run fine with no problems. But I had the chip staring me in the face and I kept reading such good things about it so I went ahead and installed it again to give it another chance. Well, the first time I drove it the engine 'theft' light went on and the engine completely cut out again. So I'm going to remove the chip until I get some answers and hopefully my computer hasn't reset itself again.

So do you have any ideas to what's going on?

 

The chip is bad and needs to be swapped out under warranty.
