Dinner at the Table?
So are there any families anymore that have their dinner at the table everynight? We tend to eat there only like on Thanksgiving and other special types of dinners.

We do every evening. Only time someone misses this event is if they are not home - e.g. at work or at school which happens occasionally. Great time to talk and catch up on what everyone is doing and concerns.

Yup gotta love bringing home the ladys. My mom makes it an obsession to embarras me with in 5 min of dinner starting.
My dad doesn't hardly speak so we get along pretty good 2 quiet guys. My brother is a pig gets food all over him when he eats and all over his bib. We keep telling him to chew with his mouth closed and don't stick your fingers inthe potatos, but those dang 15 year olds won't listen

haha, good stuff. yeah. we all get along well. kinda wierd though....my little sister's name is Kristen, and she's 19, and now the kicker, my girlfriends name is Kristin, and she's 2 months younger than my sister....talk about confusing.....BUT, everybody likes her and she likes everybody. i get to meet her parents over christmas when i go see her up in Oregon....my mom doesn't embaress me too much. her mom does to her though... should be fun

It will probably be a new thing in my home. Right now me and the wife and my 6 year daughter sit at the coffee table and the 1-1/2 year old daughter is in the high chair. However, the TV is on. I want to sit with my daughters and talk about things going on and see what's happening in there life. I want communication in my daughters and our lives. The dinner table is the best place to have them. I don't know about where you guy's live, but in Miami, they are building monster house's 5,000 + sqft??? Smaller houses make for a closer family, don't have to look to far for somebody!

My parent's house is around 4500sqft. It's about perfect for us. I wouldn't want any bigger. I tend to hang around my dad and we have some fun, when he's not working. He's the reason i'm so automotivly inclined.
Stroker, that's nuts, remember your sirs and mam's your going to the north make sure you leave a good impression of the south... She sure sounds like a sweatheart.

we have dinner together about 4 times a week, some times my mom is out with my sister so its just me my dad and my brother.. but for the rest we all eat together. sometimes i'm late due to work.
