Sounds great. I've also had good luck with a 4 hole spacer. Dizzy recurve should help a lot.

thanks- I was wondering about the part or model number and whether that ties into whether or not it works on ford. A lot of them on ebay but i know diddly about carbs and which ones will work.

I live in central FL, so I don't know how that compares to your region - though I must say that I pay top dollar for just about everything compared to others.

I ran that cam on DD2K with your specs and got 410 ft-lbs@3000 RPM and 273 HP @ 4000 RPM. I can't reproduce the effect of the spacer. If I add headers, I get close to your dyno figures, but the peak torque is 456 ft-lbs@2500 RPM, HP jumps to 317@4500 RPM.

Is your spacer a 4 hole or open?

You will need a properly adjusted vacuum advance to get decent mileage and part-throttle performance. There are some threads here on the modifications required. They require some fabrication for the vacuum modulator.

I still have not had the time to run the dyno figures...

Danlee - it's a 4 hole spacer.

Here are numbers from the best dyno pull (with headers):
RPM lb-Ft HP
2500 415.8 197.9
2600 409.3 202.6
2700 412.9 212.3
2800 421.0 224.4
2900 437.3 241.5
3000 446.0 254.8
3100 452.9 267.3
3200 457.2 278.6
3300 460.7 289.5
3400 458.4 296.8
3500 454.1 302.6
3600 454.9 311.8
3700 447.2 315.0
3800 443.7 321.0
3900 439.0 326.0
4000 430.5 327.9
4100 424.5 331.4
4200 420.2 336.0
4300 414.9 339.7
4400 401.9 336.7
4500 396.1 339.4
4600 383.5 335.9
4700 374.4 335.0

I'm still running without the vacuum advance and am getting about 9 MPG. Part throttle response seems OK, but there is a dead spot right after take-off that I attribute to the accelerator pump diaphram (currently a 30cc). I'm getting it into the shop in the next week or so for the vacuum advance and a bigger acc. pump diaphram. Do you think that will help?

Proper vacuum advance will probably cure that dead spot and improve mileage tremendously. Part throttle operation is worthless without vacuum advance.
