I have a problem gentleman. My 1979 F150 has no power to the gauges. The wiring harness that connects to the tank and the float, at the fire wall is completely covered with grease and dirt. I have identified all the colors of the wires but have been unable to find out what each of them supply power to. There are 14 wires all together.
The temp, fuel & oil pressure gauge gets its power from the ICVR that pulses a low amount of current.
The ICVR is located on the back of the instrument cluster.
To test it go to one of the senders and check for a pulse of current with the key in the ON position.
