ok...you have just opened a HUGE can of worms. There area soooo many people here that have alot of different opinions, so I will start off with mine. First, since i have a 4x4, I like the BFG All Terrains KO. I usually get about 50-60k out of them and the traction is excellent with little road noise. Great ride and handling with real good reliability. But!!! I am thinking of trying the ProComps since there is a real good sale right now for them through 4wheel parts.
OK....who else wants to sound off? I know you are out there!
Hey billybob, it must be raining cause here come the worms. The pro-comps are the same as the BFG's I have them on my wifes wrangler. I got them at 4-wheel parts at a good sale and the only thing I don't like is the side wall isn't as aggressive looking as the BFG all terrain. The performance of them is great in the rain or snow. When 4-wheel parts doesn't have a sale they are the same price as the BFG's so if it were me I would go for the BFG's cause I think they look better!
Oh I KNEW IT!!!!!!!! WORMS EVEYRWHERE!!!! Gonna grab my fishing pole!
Thanks for the info. I haven't tried the ProComps...Maybe I wont bother now...unless they keep the sale going. I need new tires before the winter hits.
I currently have General Grabber AW P255/70R16 on my 2001 Ford F-150 Super CrewCab 4x2 with 80,000 Miles on them.
Driving is mostly Highway, and occasionally I do some towing, like a Uhaul trailer , but that is like maybe once or twice a year if that.
I need to replace them next month and would like some recommendations on what is a good tire to put on this vehicle.
Thanks for your advice in this matter.

…..See you on the boards.
I prefer the BFG Long Trail T/A's for street driving. They do great in the snow, rain and are fairly quiet on the highway. Sam's has a great deal on them too and they last a whole lot longer than the Goodyears!
Sirhailstone, can you give some feed back on why you wouldn't run BFG's we know why you wouldn't go the Michelin route, because of some race series. But really did you not have good luck with the BFG's?
I just did all 4 on my 4X4 i went with Bridgestone Dueler APT paid 117 a piece for them. I think they ride nicer than the Goodyear Wrangler RT/S i had on there.
I'm not a big fan of goodyear tires. I had the tread start to peel off on the Eagle F1 - GS tire that were on my Mustang. The Wrangler R/Ts on the Expedition have been noisy, and they don't grab as well as they should. Also, the tires are up for replacement after less than 40k miles. I have heard great things about the Bridgeston Dueler Revos, and those will be going on the truck next.
