57 F100 Length

Does anyone know the overall length of a '57 F100 Shortbox? I'm bringing one home this week and need to plan the mess in the garage!

Thanks for any help.

By the way great forum, I've spent the last 3 days just reading posts, and I'm only on page 70 of 503.

Bed lengths should be 6', 8' & 9' unless Special Ordered.

I just moved one out of my garage. While I don't know the measurement because it is gone, I can tell you my garage is 22 ft deep, and I have a standard kitchen base cabinet at the front, and I was able to sqeeze by both front and rear. Just so you know I am not a twig, 5'9" 220# and I could get around it.

I'll throw in a guess of 16 feet.

Thanks for all the help, I've got a bench in my garage and with it in it measures 16ft 2". I kind of wanted to squeeze it in with the bench but I don't think it's going to fit. I'm picking it up tonight so I'll see what happens.

I look forward to learning alot with this project, as it's kind of a major job. Picked it up for $300 so you can imagine the shape. I'm sure I'll be doing lots of reading and asking questions.

Thanks again

Just measured the frame on my 59 shorty - 181 inches end to end. (15 feet 1 inch). As I remember the rear bumper stuck out another 4 inches, front only a bit.

Welcome to the board!!

What do you mean her side of the garage???? Toss her all the way out, you'll need both sides once you start tearing into it anyway. I finally got a house with a double car garage and the wife was able to park inside for about a month until I took it over.
She wasn't thrilled at first but she got used to it.

If you had a garage like AXracer your truck would definatley fit (if he would only clean up the grass and leaves it would be a fine shop)
