Front end Question

Was under my truck the other day installing exhaust....and was just looking/poking around.....i noticed if i spin the front driveshaft.....it turns freely either direction and it spins the coupling(not sure what it is called) on the inside drivers side wheel. Nothing else just that. This normal????? Doesnt seem like it but figured i would ask.

The front drive shaft spinning freely is normal.
