The black line that goes from the solenoid to just past the battery and drops down below, that's the supply from the solenoid to the hubs. At the right angle elbow, I seperated it and plugged both sides.
The red one going to the solenoid is from the vacuum resevoir - it is t'd with the heater box. The vacuum resevoir is supplied with a red line coming from the engine.
Remember, the hub's vacuum fitting is basically a breather for the inner hub now. So, if you see lots of water/mud/snow, it might be better to plug it right at the hub instead just in case one of the (now useless) vacuum hoses brakes and sucks in liguid... It would have to be a metal plug, to make sure it doesn't get dislodged in rough situations
I have a 2005 F250 Superduty, after driving off the lot and 5,000 miles later (hadn't put it in 4 wheel drive yet) I noticed that my front drive shaft was turning when I was driving so I checked both front hubs and both where turned to auto. I jacked up the front end and sure enough both hubs where locked. I played around with both the hubs and was able to get them to unlock but am worried about the future. I have a buddy with a 2005 and he has been having problems with his hubs not wanting to unlock as well when taking it out of 4 wheel drive.
