Hey guys,
Recently just got back from Iraq, and wanted to drop in and see what' been goin on. With the firewalls on the computers over there, all I could do isread the posts, couldn't post any...
Also, this is number 300 for me, and I couldn't think of a better place to make it at than with the good ole' Georgia boys!!
And I can't think of a better way to use my 1000th post, than by saying welcome back and thanks for the job you did while there and to extend a thank you to the other troops who are still there, away from home and family.
Good to have you back. How were things over there where you were?
Thanks,
Things were pretty quiet. I worked and lived across from an Iraqi Army training base, so alot of explosions and gunfire all hours of the day and night, but the whole time I was there, I didn't hear a shot fired in anger! Bad stuff is still happening to our guys there, but now it seems most of the attacks lately have been directed toward the Iraqi Police and the local nationals that are helping us. Regardless of what the media tells you, things are drastically improving over there. It will take time, and it will be a long process, but we are getting there.
