The only word I can make out is reprogrammed. Sorry for the crappy pic, but the sun was going down and the one I took with the flash on created a glare.

Reason: picture changed to link
It states PCM REPROGRAMMED, and then gives the program # the is in it now. One would assume it had some computer issues early in life, and this was the fix..
Thanks guys, I was wondering what that was all about and have been trying to figure it out for the past couple years now. When I was checking my oil and such yesterday, my curiousity got the best of me.
I have one of those on my '97 Taurus, under the hood.
One thing a dealer sticker like that indicates is that the vehicle has been to the Ford dealership for repairs some time during it's lifetime. Now,that can be a good thing, or a not so good thing, depending on how you look at it. I'd like to think the the PO of my Taurus used the dealership for all his repairs, and as such, the vehicle has been in the hands of qualified techs (for the most part) and has been fed only genuine OEM replacement parts.

LOL! Don't we all wish that for our used cars :-) I try for turned in lease vehicles that were bought and returned to the same dealership within two to three years. That way I can check the records myself.

Actually, I have reprogrammed many a Taurus (on TSB/recall) before they were even sold or delivered to a customer.

Maybe so. But I can still dream, can't I?
As long as I never find out for sure, I'm fine with that
