Please do a search of "coolant loss" in this forum. There is alot of reading in the threads that will pop up. It could be one of several issues, most common on the 04 seems to have been streched head bolts, and or defective head gaskets. Also a must read for you is in the predator thread that is stickied to the top of the forum.

P0402 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Excessive Detected

P0403 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit

P0405 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit Low

P0603 Powertrain Control Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error

P2263 Turbo / boost related I believe.

Looks like your EGR Valve is toast and is affecting the turbo which would be typical.

pwr6.0, please keep us posted on your success on this. Sounds like KW got the egr figured.
kw, would the affects of a failing egr also result in the coolant issue?

In my personal non-tech opinion it could at least indirectly. Matt can tell us the real reasons why.

But, It's kinda like when you get a head cold. Your lungs may be OK but you still can't breathe and you don't have much energy 'cause of the your body is working hard to compensate for your cold.

The EGR Valve locked in the open position causes your truck to work hard trying to figure out what the heck is goin' on. Plus the open valve is continually throwing contagions into system causing other kinds of nastiness. It can even impact your VGT valve which effects your turbo and there goes your boost.

The EGR valve creates an EVIIIIL vicious circle of events. It was surely created by the devil himself to inflict pain a suffering upon turbo diesel owners everywhere...

That's about as laymen and low tech as I can't get.

After I re-read that I guess I didn't answer your question...again, I could be way off base here...but, indirectly I feel it could have a cascade effect ultimately putting more load / pressure on the engine thereby causing the coolant to pop just as if it were under tow loads.

The more underpowered a sick truck is the more we try to put the wood to it so to speak...'cause we just know we can make her go....if we keep pushing the pedal hard enough.
