i'm looking for a good quality winch for my 78 f250 and was wondering what i should be looking for. i've heard warn the best and superwinch is good. i'm looking for something around 8000-9000 lbs............i want lots of power when i need it.i seen a 9000 # superwinch on sale for 780$ locally and i should have bought it but i didn't . Any help with prices, quality, and dependability would be great
How about a MileMarker E-9000 or E-12000? You can get a brand new E-12000 for less than $700. I got my E-9000 for $350 with a free Roller Fairlead at a show and the owner of MileMarker himself dollied it out to my truck
My buddy has the Mile Marker e-1200 on his huge bronco running 44's. The winch pulls great, only complaint is that it is kinda slow. Great winch for the money and it does perform, just not as fast as Warn or Superwinch.
78 Ranger, where are you? I have a Warn XD9000i that was on my truck when I bought it but I haven't used it. It is a highly respected model. I have been holding onto it in case I ever built-up an old Bronco like I have always wanted to do. Anyways, I might be willing to sell it if you are nearby, good price. I'm in SC, let me know.
