What about the same wind-up technology you see in those combo flashlight radios?

Some how wind up a spring wound generator to power the batteries.

Hey, I know it's a far fletch idea, but what the heck.

Hmmm, where's graywolf when you need him? He could tell us if it would take more energy to wind it up than it would produce! I wonder about that, though.

Better yet, maybe Dr Bill Wattenberg would have some ideas on that wind up dynamo thing.

only problem with a wind up car is that it would take about 100x+ as much energy as it would for you to walk there, which isnt a problem with engines, but when your the power supply, i think you'd choose walking lol.

While that quasi turbine looks like it has lots of merit, I would bring back the 427 SOHC, maybe belt drive the cams and stick a supercharger on it just for laughs. Use the Shelby aluminum block that they use in the Eleanors that Unique builds. Then shove it in a new Mustang and watch Ferrari and Lamborghini cry in their spaghetti.

I would love to take the Mercedes V12 Twin Turbo in the SL600 model and stick it in my Expedition. Crank up the boost a little, stock it puts out 608hp and 738 ft. lbs. Or better yet get a Bugatti Veyron 16 cylinder quad turbo putting out 1001hp. Either of those in my expedition would make a nice sleeper. Reality is boring sometimes!

what about the vector W-8 Chevy 350 based engine, it put out anywhere from 500HP to 1100HP, and i know its Chevy based, but its an american supercar that whoops all the foreign ones, specially with twin turbo-chargers. too bady they but the lamborghini
v12 daiblo engine in it, toook the power down to 492, and it was no longer an american car.

With these high gas prices, I'd go with a bone-stock Ford 300 Inline 6.

A all aluminum 482" FE sideoiler with 4 valve pentroof heads, ohc, mpi, variable cam timing, supercharged like a 500/540K Mercedes. A WW 2 OHC Ford V8 tank engine and a 1650 Rolls aircraft engine. can't pick just one.

I'm gonna make a cold fusion engine, based on nuclear fusion, and blow all of you away with about 100 billion horsepower coming from a few ounces of "fuel"

Top fuel is for wusses. They can't touch fusion

What's that big bright flash in the horizon?

Oh, it's just fbodyfan's cold fusion engine backfiring. (jk)
